Among the incidents being investigated are a traffic stop that resulted in Harrisburg officers shooting a man and a homicide on State Street.
Harrisburg and Dauphin County law enforcement continue to investigate a series of weekend shootings , including a Saturday traffic stop in which four officers opened fire on a man who was shot and critically injured and a homicide on Sunday that is being looked at as a possible case of self-defense.
Although the case was in its initial stages, Chardo said there was no evidence at this point to indicate that the man shot by police had fired a gun at officers before they began shooting.Reached Monday night, Chardo said he was not able to say if the man, who has not yet been identified, was in possession of a firearm or if one had been recovered from his vehicle or the scene.
