Member s of the Red Knights Motorcycle Club PA 15 revved up their engines on Saturday to bring some cheer to children. They held their 22nd annual Bunny Run on April 4, delivering stuffed bunnies and a little Easter magic to children spending the holiday in the hospital.
'We really hope that we come to the hospitals and we don't see any kids. But, when we do see kids, our motto is give a child a smile for Easter,' said Tim Greiner. The motorcyclists come together to bring Easter to kids who can't go outside and hunt for eggs or sit at home and open Easter baskets. Jeff Whitehead joined the motorcyclists before the cause hit close to home in 2020. Jeff's grandson was born with liver cancer. He had eight rounds of chemotherapy and major surgery before he turned 1. 'His dad held him up to ring the bell. He couldn't even walk yet,' Jeff said of his grandson, who turns 6 this month. 'Cancer in kids is personal for me, and I'm glad that we can at least touch them a little bit to encourage them.'
