The case against Kuami Wright resumed in Dauphin County District Court Thursday after Wright fired his attorney and an unrelated delay.
A Harrisburg man accused of kidnapping, robbing and forcing a woman to undress in 2020 is now representing himself at trial where he cross examined her on the stand.
Police investigated possible links between this crime and three others that occurred in 2019 in the city, but Wright was only charged in connection to this kidnapping reported on Oct. 15, 2020, that started near 15th and Market streets. Wright returned after two minutes and made the woman drive elsewhere in the city. When they parked in another alleyway. Wright forced her to remove the rest of her clothing and used his hands to spread her legs apart, exposing her genitals, Gibney testified.
During cross-examination, Wright questioned Gibney about if he placed his finger on his portrait when he put the mugshots of potential suspects in front of the victim to identify, which Gibney denied.
