Vigil for homicide victim Jason HillDozens of Harrisburg residents bundled up Saturday enduring the blustery, cold weather to remember the life of Jason Hill, who was gunned down in a city street two years ago.
Some covered themselves in blankets and wore pins that adorned pictures of him. All gathered at the location where he was shot on Jan. 29, 2020. The 21-year-old was shot just before 5 p.m. in the 500 block of Curtin Street. Hill’s mom, Dinecia Baskerville, said she remains steadfast in trying to find out who did it.
Her son’s case is one of 35 unsolved killings over the past eight years. Harrisburg police continue to investigate, but have said they don’t have much to go on.Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Harrisburg Police at 717-558-6900.
