As we enter the fifth day since Hurricane Beryl swept through southeast Texas, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo expects to share additional information on relief efforts for thousands of residents still without power.

She noted that with the amount of debris left behind by the storm, they simply do not have enough people to remove all the debris.
“You can help us with the debris removal and with the removal of those down trees that are cutting through people’s homes this very moment,” she explained. “We just simply do not have enough volunteers and enough trained people right now to be able to do that to the number and breadth of the impact.”
