La vicepresidenta Kamala Harris ayudó el sábado a empacar pañales en cajas de productos de cuidado personal destinadas a las víctimas del huracán de Carolina del Norte, coincidiendo con un ayudante que dijo que “se necesita un pueblo”.
Antes que su avión despegara de Washington, Harris dijo a los periodistas que la acompañaban que esperaba hablar con los residentes “ante todo para ver cómo les va después del huracán”. Los demócratas consideran a Carolina del Norte como un estado que se inclina a su favor este año, con su base de votantes negros y con educación universitaria, así como de mujeres preocupadas por la pérdida de las protecciones al aborto.
