I decided to do some research on the company that I hastily accepted a job offer from.Upon researching, I found out that its CEO has been accused of sexual harassment by a few former employees. The investigation is ongoing, and he is still the CEO for the time being, so I would be working under him.
Yes, it would have been good for you to do the research in advance, but it is unlikely that this man will behave inappropriately with you while an active investigation into his behavior is ongoing. Treat the CEO with respect. As long as he is there, he is your boss. Adopt the attitude that you have a lot to learn from him in order to do your job effectively. When you interact with him, be prepared with questions that will help you to learn the business. Avoid topics that are too personal. In other words, behave professionally.
