Shortly after CNN terminated Cuomo, employment attorney Debra Katz told reporters an unnamed client had accused the anchor of sexual misconduct. Katz said she informed CNN of the allegation on Wednesday and was prepared to provide “documentary evidence” of her claim, but CNN ultimately took action and fired Cuomo. A CNN spokesperson toldthe network believes it already had cause to terminate its former 9 p.m.
