Harley Quinn Season 5, episode 5 dives into a chaotic murder mystery dinner with a surprise twist - Nightwing's return as Red X seeking revenge! Here's a recap, ending explainer, and Easter egg hunt for this wild episode.
Warning! This post contains SPOILERS for Harley Quinn Season 5, episode 5. Following the villainous origins of Brainiac in the last episode, Harley Quinn Season 5, episode 5 switches gears with a wild murder mystery party.
Haunted by nightmares of a giant skull due to her and Ivy's recent encounter with Brainiac that was subsequently wiped from their minds, Harley is full of anxious and inexplicable energy when Bruce Wayne invites them to a big pasta dinner for all the residents in the building. However, things take a wild turn with a major surprise guest. Although Brainiac is presumably still working to make Metropolis perfect before he shrinks it down and bottles it, Ivy and Harley have no idea what's going on, nor that Lena Luthor is working with the Coluan supervillain as their memories were erased. However, it seems as though Harley's subconscious still remembers Brainiac's giant skull ship, and it continues to haunt her even at what must be one of the craziest dinners in DC history. Keeping that in mind, here's our recap, ending explainer, and all the biggest Easter eggs/references we found in Harley Quinn Season 5, episode 5.Harley Quinn Season 5, Episode 5 Recap 'Big Pasta Dinner'Harley Quinn Season 5, Episode 5 Ending Explained Nightwing's Return as Red X, Alfred's Dark Turn, and Harley's New Job Close Following Rex X's initial attack, he took off his mask to reveal that he was a resurrected Nightwing bent on getting revenge against Harley Quinn for killing him in her sleep in Harley Quinn Season 4. However, Bruce was able to apologize to both Dick and Damian at the same time, apologizing for the past and wanting to be a better father. While this ended Red X's rage and started to calm everything down, the dinner guests then had to deal with a roided-out Macroni with Alfred having reached his absolute breaking point.
