Currently, Friedman’s — who goes by MJF in AEW — role in the film is unknown, as are most of the other details surrounding the film. Despite being mostly known for wrestling, Friedman has been dabbling in the world of acting for the past few years. He appeared in A24’s The Iron Claw, and will also star alongside Seth Green and Aya Cash in the comedy The Floaters.
Along with Sandler, Julie Bowen and Christopher McDonald are returning for Happy Gilmore 2, which just started production. NFL star Travis Kelce and filmmaker Benny Safdie will additionally be in the movie in some capacity, as willThe script was written by Sandler and Herlihy, both of whom also serve as producers. Dugan serves as an executive producer alongside Judit Maull, Kevin Grady, David Bausch, and Barry Bernardi.
“All Happy Gilmore has ever wanted is to be a professional hockey player,” the description of the 1996 movie reads. “But he soon discovers he may actually have a talent for playing an entirely different sport: golf.
