Perikatan Nasional leader Hamzah Zainuddin's son lands in court.
Muhammad Faisal Hamzah, the son of opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin, was charged in the Sessions Court on Wednesday with nine counts of violations related to the cooking oil subsidy.
They allegedly provided false information by producing fake invoices on the purported sale of oil to a local retail company, Free Malaysia Today reported. The matter was revealed after fake invoices were found during a raid conducted on the company’s premises on 12 August 2022. This offence is said to be a violation of Regulation 9 of the Control of Supplies Regulations 1974, which is punishable under Section 22 of the Control of Supplies Act.
