Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan has issued a warning to Israel, as the country continues its major military offensive in Rafah.

A senior Hamas official has issued a warning to Israel about the latest ceasefire agreement, as the IDF gains control of the Gaza side of the Rafah crossing amid a major military offensive.

Hamdan added the"ball is in Netanyahu's court", warning Israel's actions could put ongoing mediation attempts in jeopardy. "Following intelligence indicating that the Gazan side of the Rafah crossing was being abused by the Hamas terror organisation we established operational control of the Gazan side of the crossing where special forces are currently scanning the area."

"The troops are operating in a specific, defined area where residents have already been evacuated," Lieutenant Colonel Shoshani added.
