MILWAUKEE — Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley got an early zinger in at the first GOP debate, channeling the late British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher with a line about female leadership.
After several exchanges between the seven men onstage, all of whom were wearing red ties under blue jackets, Haley broke out with her one-liner.“This is exactly why Margaret Thatcher said, 'If you want something said, ask a man.
If you want something done, ask a woman,'" Haley said.The line followed one of several exchanges between Vivek Ramaswamy and the other men onstage, with Chris Christie saying,"I've had enough," and comparing Ramaswamy to a young Barack Obama.
