Hailey Bieber's Rhode beauty brand is launching a new Peptide Lip Shape, a product that combines lip liner and contour for a fuller, natural look. Bieber describes it as a 'lip contour' rather than a traditional liner, emphasizing the smudged, blended application that creates the illusion of naturally fuller lips.
Lip liners have had a major redeption arc in the last year. The latest beauty brand to sign on with the trend? Hailey Bieber’s Rhode . The beauty entrepreneur, model, and new mother has been teasing today’s launch for the last month—and finally, the Rhode Peptide Lip Shape is here. Bieber describes the product to me as a lip contour, not liner, when we meet to discuss the launch. “I love contour for my face, and I love lip liner,” she says.
” Thicker and more rounded than the traditional pencil-sharp liner of the ’90s, but still smaller than a pen, the Peptide Lip Shape isn’t about the super-distinct lines you think of with traditional liners. “The idea is to go outside the lines of the lips and overdo it, and then kind of blend and smudge to the capacity that you want to contour the lips,” Bieber says of her own signature technique.
