The southwest monsoon or habagat will bring cloudy skies and rain over parts of Luzon and the Visayas on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.

The weather bureau, meanwhile, continues to monitor Typhoon Khanun , which is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility or 765 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes packing maximum sustained winds of 175 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness of up to 215 km/h and moving west northwestward at the speed of 10 km/h.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Occidental Mindoro will have occasional rains also due to the southwest monsoon with flooding or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring during severe thunderstorms.
