Owners of nearby retail properties and buyers of land near future H-E-B stores say the grocer is having a positive impact on the property market.
Area shoppers aren’t the only folks eager to see H-E-B’s new North Texas stores opening.
Built in 1999, Lakeside Market had an almost 20% vacancy when Whitestone acquired the property. But with the new H-E-B store, business in the Plano center has seen a significant bump, the owners say. Along with the cachet of a hot new retailer, nearby business owners also benefit from the huge spending volumes H-E-B stores generate.
