H-E-B purchased 25.6 acres in Mesquite this week in anticipation of future growth in North Texas.
H-E-B's newest location in D-FW is located at 899 University Dr. in Frisco. It will officially open at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.future growth in North TexasWhile H-E-B has been investing in new stores in the area, it’s not clear how its land holdings might be put to use in the future. Its current locales include Frisco, McKinney and Plano.The grocer has plans for other sites, and Mesquite is near on of those with an investment in Forney.
Earlier this month,Earlier this week, the City Council approved a restaurant and retail development with what’s anticipated to be a grocer that’s south of IH-20 and west of FM 741., is home to retail sites such as Town East Mall, which is home to many stores such as H&M and Dillard’s. The city’s grocery stores include Albertsons, Aldi and Sprouts Farmers Market.
