Apple Martin, now 18, said she had never seen her mother “shaken up like that” and was “concerned” following the collision at the Deer Valley resort in Utah in 2016,Ms Martin, who was 11 or 12 at the time of the incident, said her mother had been “frantic”. “ told us what happened… She came in and I noticed she looked a bit shocked, and I asked what happened and she said ‘this a-hole ran into me, he ran right into my back’,” Ms Martin said in her statement, which was read out by Ms Paltrow’s defence team.
The teenager said that after the “commotion” her mother had been “in a state of shock and she decided after that she was not going to ski for the rest of the day which she never does, she always stays on, but she was in shock and a bit of pain”. She said that Ms Paltrow “was in a little bit of pain and I remember that’s why she went to the spa to get a massage”.founder has claimed that the collision resulted in her losing “half a day of skiing” with her family.The court in Park City, Utah, on Tuesday heard parts of statements from both Ms Paltrow’s children, Ms Martin and 16-year-old Moses Martin, who had been skiing with her on the day of the collision.
