Looks like school is not out for a certain Guns N’ Roses veteran, who’ll be subbing in for a classic shock-rocker as he visits Alabama early next month.well on its way to sold outA PR firm representing Cooper announced Monday that a temporary lineup change will bring former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke into Cooper’s band for a run of shows from Jan. 31 through Feb. 16.
Back in 1991, Clarke was hired to fill the Guns N’ Roses rhythm guitar spot vacated by Izzy Stradlin. During his three years touring with the band he was featured on a live album and the punk covers collection “The Spaghetti Incident?” He went on to play on lead guitarist Slash’s first album outside the group; amid various other projects, he has released several solo albums including 2021’s “The Gospel Truth.
