UC Berkeley police were seeking someone who apparently fired gunshots Thursday morning near the Clark Kerr Campus track.
BERKELEY — Gunfire was heard Thursday morning near UC Berkeley’s Clark Kerr Campus track, but no injuries have been reported, officials said.
More than one shot was heard about 7:30 a.m. in the area of the track, which is close to the Claremont Canyon Regional Preserve, authorities said. It was not immediately known if the gunfire was directed at anyone or if it was just shots fired into the air. Officers from both the UC Berkeley and Berkeley police departments swarmed the area looking for the shooter or shooters, but no arrests have been reported.
