The storms weren’t firing off any lightning so the folks hitting the beach just took the occasional soaking in stride.

) - Baldwin County beaches are sure to be bustling with tourists over the long holiday weekend. Plenty were already there Thursday, July 3, 2024 despite on and off rain showers.

“During the season, with this being my freshman year and summer ball and everything, I wasn’t able to be close to my family very often so now that we’re able to have a vacation, just be close to them until this fall semester starts back,” Watts said. The 4th itself will usher in a lot more people and with a good chance of more showers on Thursday, many were already making other plans to make the best of their trip.“Right now, we plan to go out, plan to go go-carting and spent the next couple of days at the beach,” said Faith Bell from Plainfield, IL.
