This week's Gulf Coast weather forecast brings a dramatic shift from last week's record-breaking snow event. Expect warm temperatures throughout the week, with highs reaching the mid-60s to low 70s. While the chance of rain remains low, scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible by Friday.
Armstrong Williams takes on the news of the week and asks the questions you want answered. Don't miss our weekly town hall. Hey there, Gulf Coast, hopefully your week is off to a great start! This time last week, we were preparing for our record-shattering snow event on Tuesday. Throughout this week, the weather basically does a 180. After some showers on Monday, we'll check in with mostly cloudy skies Monday night into Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will turn chilly with most dropping well into the 40s, and there will be potential for patchy fog. Be careful on the Tuesday morning drive. For our Tuesday afternoon, we'll check in with a mix of sun and clouds as daytime highs climb to the mid-60s, which is only slightly above average. We'll then fall back into the 40s Tuesday night, however, it will be about 3-5 degrees warmer than Monday night with more spots seeing mid to upper 40s rather than low to mid 40s. Wednesday and Thursday will be even warmer. Both days will bring highs in the upper 60s to low 70s with lows returning to the 50s. There will be more cloud coverage both days with partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies. The chance of any wet weather though will be low, however, a few stray showers will be possible during the second half of Thursday. By Friday, our next weathermaker in the form of a cold front will move in. This will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms across the NBC 15 area. After the front moves through, temperatures will ease down slightly this weekend, however, we'll still stay fairly mild. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s with lows back in the 40s. Highs will be back in the 70s by Monday, and it looks like the above-average warmth will hold on through most of next week
