Live build-up, updates and reaction from Juventus vs Man City in the UEFA Champions League
Juventus are a big club - Guardiola has talked them up all week as the biggest club in Italy - and if City didn't know that before they stepped on the pitch they are aware of it now. Young Max Hudson is out in the Allianz Stadium along with Ederson and Stefan Ortega. The City keepers are booed and jeered - it’s a completely different warm-up to a few hours ago when Hudson was at the Juventus Training Centre infront of a handful of fans in the sun looking at lovely views of the Alps.
The other goalkeepers and two coaches are helping him along. Now the City players are out to warm up to plenty of boos. Kevin De Bruyne is doing his usual ‘non-warm-up’ of standing and chatting casually to some coaches. All the substitutes are out so far bar Mateo Kovacic. Suddenly the lights go out, ACDC is blasted out, and Juventus are out. The stadium is pretty full already, particularly the big stand behind the goal, and City will already know they are in a game going by the build up.
