Businesses on the Guadalupe River said low water levels are slowing down customer foot traffic and changing the way they do business.
“The water dropping in the lake, it’s running pretty low so they’re not releasing as much water. When I first started here it was running about 125 CFS and right now it’s about 63 CFS ,” said Anthony Brown , Tubing Manager at Rio Guadalupe Resort.
According to Brown, the drought has made it increasingly difficult to float down the river and they've had to make big changes in the way they do business. Staff at Rio Guadalupe Resort tell us, that because float times are taking almost twice as long as they used to, they’re having to offer other alternatives for people who want to get in the water.
