Groups march for women’s rights on International Women’s Day

Several women leaders, youth groups, and other organizations on Wednesday marched in protest calling for women’s rights in commemoration of International Women’s Day.

Women’s group Gabriela and worker’s group Partido Manggagawa, Kilusang Mayo Uno, and Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino Meanwhile, members of the Gabriela Youth, other youth groups, and the Diliman Gender Office held a protest action at Quezon Hall going to Palma HallThe events featured speeches from young women leaders and professors calling for wage increases, the right to unionize, and the elimination of violence against women.
