MELAKA: Toilets at the public transportation hub here is a “horrible sight”, says Quality Restroom Association Malaysia (QRAM).
The association’s Melaka Chapter chairman, M. Tirunavukarasan, said the condition of the toilets at Melaka Sentral, the main bus terminal of this historic city, must be improved.
“Such dirty and unkempt toilets at the terminal can derail the efforts placed by stakeholders to promote tourism. Those responsible on the upkeep of the toilets should act at once,” he said yesterday. Tirunavukarasan said the toilets are used by thousands of commuters including tourists and their upkeep should not be compromised.QRAM was planning to launch a “toilet revolution” campaign as part of its initiatives.
