The Stop & Shop supermarket company has announced it will shutter dozens of underperforming locations.
The Stop & Shop supermarket company has announced it will shutter dozens of underperforming locations.“Stop & Shop is proud of the deep roots and community ties we have developed as a neighborhood grocer of more than 100 years, and we remain committed to nourishing our associates, customers and communities,” said Gordon Reid, the President, Stop & Shop, in the press release.
Following the closures, Stop & Shop will continue to have more 350 stores in its five-state footprint. The shutdowns will occur before Nov. 2, the company said. Closing down will be:1937 West Main St., Stamford 72 Newtown Road, Danbury 341 Plymouth St., Halifax415 Cooley St., Springfield 24 Mattakeesett St., Pembroke 1278 US Highway 22, Phillipsburg505 Richmond Ave, Point Pleasant Beach
