The once-mighty grocery app that bought FreshDirect is now a tenant deadbeat that owes millions of dollars, according to a slew of scathing new Manhattan lawsuits.
One of the Manhattan lawsuits says Getir owes more than $360,000 in back rent, taxes and utilities for its rental space at 114 W, 26th St.. The leases involve acceleration clauses, which mean that when a commercial tenant defaults on the lease agreement, landlords can basically call for the full lease to be due at once, producing the staggering number.
