SEC Network analyst said the Tide wasn't hung over.
The SEC Network analyst and former Alabama quarterback said during his “Always College Football” podcast the game film showed something he didn’t expect.
“I expected to turn on the tape and for it to be feel fluky,” he said. “I expected to turn on the tape and see Bama looking lethargic. I expected to see Bama making pivotal mistakes that would lead to easy and cheap yardage for Vanderbilt.”Vanderbilt never trailed as the Commodores played keep-away, holding the ball for just over 42 minutes. Alabama had a 312-252 yardage advantage on offense. It didn’t matter with Vandy converting 12 of 18 on third downs wearing down the Tide defense.
“I didn’t think that team looked super hungover,” McElroy said. “... I watched Vanderbilt, how they dominated offensively, how Diego Pavia and this offensive staff were always seemingly one step ahead, how they were able to completely gas the Alabama defense. ...@Mark_Heim .
