A wild shootout in Greenwood Sunday night left several families terrified after hearing a series of rapid-fire gunshots around 10 p.m. in their neighborhood.

Many neighbors in the area heard the gunshots, and several had property damage to their cars and homes. They told KOMO News it’s not the first time something like this has happened. It’s been over the last few years getting worse and worse with prostitution, people using the parking spaces in front of the unit for sex and leaving behind all sorts of disgusting things, and now it’s escalating into gunfire,” Phil Roberts, who had a bullet go through the kitchen of one of his rental units. “They’re nice people. I was just afraid for them. I don’t know what to do about it.

After the last shooting left one injured here in March, neighbors put up planters on the street to try and deter criminals from speeding through the area.
