The defender represented United between 2006 and 2015, and has returned on a short-term contract that will enable him to take part in the Red Devils' friendlies in America.
New signing Mason Mount, meanwhile, was also included, along with England international Marcus Rashford, who penned a new five-year deal at Old Trafford on Tuesday night. Mason Greenwood, however, was a notable absentee following the club's decision to suspend him in January 2022 after his arrest on suspicion of attempted rape, assault, and coercive control.
The 21-year-old has not played football since being detained, although reports suggest that the English giants are expected to deliver a verdict on his future with them before the 2023/24 campaign gets underway. Greenwood's charges were dropped earlier this year, but there has been no indication as to whether or not he still has a future at the Red Devils, with
