Arrowverse Star Stephen Amell Reflects On The DCEU's Green Arrow
While Peacemaker's jab at Green Arrow was one of the funniest moments of the John Cena-led show, some people didn't enjoy it - first among them Arrow actor Stephen Amell. Thankfully, DC is now balancing the scales, as Oliver Queen gets the better of his vigilante rival.
Close Not only is it immensely satisfying to see Green Arrow take down Peacemaker, but the scene may come as a relief to Stephen Amell, who has expressed his distaste for an especially mean joke that was made during the Peacemaker TV show. Maybe, now that Ollie has made Peacemaker cry out for his mommy, he can rest easy seeing the character he played for so long finally get revenge.
Green Arrow Finally Humiliates Peacemaker Green Arrow #17 by Joshua Williamson, Chris Condon, Amancay Nahuelpan and Troy Peteri The CW has had a lot of DC-related shows over the years, including Smallville, Arrow, The Flash, Black Lightning, Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and several others. For a long time, the CW was the face of DC on television, and they certainly deserve praise and recognition for that. Unfortunately, the CW is also infamous for having pretty low budgets for its TV shows.
One person who didn't approve of the gag was Arrow actor Stephen Amell, who stated in an interview with Chris Van Vliet that, "I didn't *****ing appreciate that at all. ... our show was kind of treated like ****." Amell explains that he's irritated at James Gunn for what he sees as a shot at the CW show, pointing out that it was the latest in a pattern of disrespect from DC's other properties towards its CW offerings.
