The Weld County Critical Incident Response Team is investigating a Monday morning barricade that concluded with Greeley police shooting and killing a 35-year-old suspect.
About 4:40 a.m. Monday, Greeley police responded to reports of shots fired in the 600 block of 46th Avenue Court in Greeley, according to a response team’s news release.
At the scene, officers saw a hole in the wall of a shared duplex and heard another gunshot coming from the residence. Police surrounded the residence and tried to call the suspect out of the home. The suspect barricaded himself in the attached garage, refusing to exit the home, the release said. As a result, the Greeley SWAT team responded.
