The yellow weather warning is set to come into place on Wednesday
A storm is forecast to hit Greater Manchester later this week - with a weather warning for wind issued by the Met Office.
Temperatures will reach highs of around 19C today. After a mostly cloudy morning tomorrow, showers are then forecast into the afternoon. Rain and thundery conditions are forecast, with 40mph wind gusts expected in our region. If the storm develops it could be officially named as Storm Agnes, according to reports.
According to the Met Office, 'a spell of strong winds is expected to move northeast through Wednesday, with a small chance that they could be significantly disruptive'. Forecasters said 'there is a small chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris' while the warning is in place, while travel disruption and damage to buildings is expected.
