Property prices are much more affordable in these parts of the region
These eight areas of Greater Manchester are now the cheapest places to buy a home across the region. Over the first seven months of 2024, house prices have risen by 1.4 percent with the average price of a property in the UK now £266,400.

BL4 In BL4, which covers Bolton, Farnworth and Kearsley, the average cost of a home is now £170,224, making it one of the more affordable parts of the region.
The postcode covers the Wigan areas of Abram, Aspull, Bamfurlong, Bickershaw, Haigh, Hindley, Hindley Green, Ince and Platt Bridge.
