After the week of weather we've had it's abundantly clear that autumn is well and truly underway. The clocks are about to go back, the nights are starting to draw in and those long summer evenings are now just a distant memory.

Stockport This year Stockport council will not be hosting an event in the borough, but there will be a number of displays organised locally. They join other Greater Manchester councils including Manchester, Trafford, Bolton and Bury in not putting on a council display.The annual Bonfire Night celebration will again take place at Woodford Community Centre on Sunday, November 5.

Tickets are available online - £10 for adults , £5 for under 16yrs, and family ticket are available for £30. Under 3 years go free, and booking fee applicable. Tickets can be bought here.Stockport Rugby Club will be bringing visitors the 'biggest' and 'best' fireworks event yet on Friday, November 3.

Taking place on Saturday, November 4, this will be HGCCs first bonfire night and they are making it a big one. There will be a DJ, kids entertainment, food stalls, licenced bar and of course a big fire and even bigger fireworks.Tickets are priced at £5 for adults plus booking fee, £3 for children, plus booking fee. Under 5s go free. Tickets can be purchased here.Bowdon’s annual bonfire will be taking place for the 55th time this year on November 3 at Bowdon Cricket Club.

Gates open at 6pm, with the fireworks display kicking off after 7pm. Tickets are £3 per person or a family ticket of two adults and two children is priced at £10. Tickets can be bought from the venue.Stretford will be having its own set of fireworks and bonfires at the Cricket Club on Lesley Road on November 5.

Gates open at 5.30pm with a mini display taking place at 7.30pm and the main display taking place at 8.30pm.Tickets will cost £7 for an adult and £5 for children. Kids under two go free.The GD Parent's Association is bringing back the Bolton School Fireworks Display for 2023 with a special theme. This year, the event will be Sci-fi themed with a fireworks display from Titanium.

According to the organisers, the night will feature plenty of things for visitors to enjoy, including fairground rides, food stalls, and a colourful fireworks display. Gates are expected to open at 6pm, with the fireworks display starting at 8pm. Gates will open at 5.30pm. Adults and children will pay £5 each for a ticket, or you can save some cash and spend £15 for a family ticket which covers two adults and two children.East Lancs Paper Mill Cricket Club East Lancs Paper Mill Cricket Club will host a free bonfire event on its grounds. Other forms of entertainment include a bar, food stalls, toy stalls, and hot drinks.

Meanwhile, The Robin Park Arena, home of the Wigan Warriors rugby league team, will be hosting their second annual event on November 4. The Fan Village doors will open from 2pm with England’s third Test against Tonga to be shown live from 2.30pm. All that will be punctuated by a firework display at 5.30pm, a firecracker firework display at 6.30pm, and the main firework show at 7.30pm, followed by DJ Pops Roberts. The gates close at 9pm.On Sunday, November 5, the action moves to Prince’s Park, on Liverpool Road, Irlam, starting at 5pm with a funfair and food and drink. The bonfire will be lit at 7pm and there will be a firework display lasting about 15 minutes. The site closes at 9pm.

Saturday, November 4 / Roe Green Cricket Club, Greenleach Lane, Roe Green, Worsley, Manchester M28 2QWThe Whalley Range Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club will host its annual bonfire and fireworks display on Saturday, November 4. Across three sessions on Saturday, November 4 and Sunday, November 5, the Mayfield Depot venue will host a mesmerising fireworks display filling the night’s sky above Mayfield Park.

The centre, located next to Queens Road Metrolink station, will also serve up a range of Bonfire Night food whilst the funfair rides will offer plenty of fun. No tickets are required but you are advised to bring cash for food and the rides.The Carlton Club Fireworks Oldham council is hosting its Big Bang Bonfire on Thursday, November 2 from 5pm with fireworks being set off from 7pm.

Tickets cost £3.50 for adults and £1.50 for children aged 12 and under, with under-twos going free, with proceeds going to the upkeep of the Pavilion.The Church Inn Pub Bonfire event will take place on Saturday, November 4 with the event starting at 6pm.
