Restrictions in Darwin have been extended by 24 hours due to the source of infection being found to have lied on their entry form after spending time in Melbourne.

The Northern Territory recorded no new cases on Sunday with the source of the infection now known which made Mr Gunner “confident” the restrictions would be ended on Monday night."We've had… no positive and we now know the source of the infection.

Mr Gunner revealed that after five hours of interviews it could be confirmed she had flown from Cairns to Adelaide before driving to Melbourne on October 21. “While there were compassionate reasons for her decision to visit Victoria, there were not compassionate reasons for lying to the Territory and coming here from a hotspot.The Chief Minister reminded residents that anyone who is required to go into quarantine at the Centre for National Resilience will only have to pay for their quarantine period if they lie on their entry form.
