, the hit tactical shooter that topped Steam earlier this year, is about to get it’s first major content update since launch with the arrival of the Night Ops patch, which will add a day and night cycle in just a few weeks.
In a new trailer, which can be seen below, the day and night cycle was shown off, along with a few other additions that will be coming with the patch. However, the most important piece of information was the release date for the patch hidden at the end; November 27th., which has been hotly anticipated by players for a long time. The day night cycle was revealed as the first major content update months ago, shortly after the game launched to massive success. However, it has been a long wait, with the occasional tease of the feature only making fans more hungry to see it in action. But now, or at least in a few weeks, players can get hands on and explore the island during the night, which could completely change the feel of the game. With both AI and other players to worry about, being sneaky was often a lot more hassle than it was worth in, as sooner or later you were almost guaranteed to be spotted by one or of the other and become the focus of everyone’s attention. But darkness should, at least somewhat, remove that possibility and make the option of stealth a lot more viable. There is also hope that this update will bring players back to the game, with new content that should keep them entertained for a little longer than previously. After aThis new update should bring back a lot of players who either felt like they had accomplished everything the game had to offer, or got bored by the similar feel to a lot of the map. There is also expected to be some other new content in the patch, not just the darkness it will bring, which again should alleviate those issues somewhat. It seems unlikely this update will take, but it should revitalise the player base a little. I know that I’ll be dropping back in to see how much this update improves things when it launches on November 27th.Our community is about connecting people through open and thoughtful conversations.
