Brazen thieves broke into a Los Angeles liquor store and stole roughly $700,000 worth of rare wines, according to the store owner.

The heist happened around 1 a.m. on Saturday morning, Nazmul Haque Helal, the owner of Lincoln Fine Wines,Security footage shared with the station shows a white pickup truck pulling up in the rear parking lot of the store before parking nearby, still in view of the camera.KTLA5/YouTube

They eventually made their grape escape with more than half a million dollars worth of wine, mainly from France and Italy.A masked suspect exits the truck and approaches the store. He leaps on top of a metal container with what appears to be a knife or other cutting tool in his hands, the video shows.

Helal said the handy thieves sliced a hole into the ceiling above the store’s wine cellar — where it keeps its most expensive fine wines — and scaled down using a rock climbing rope. They eventually made their grape escape with more than half a million dollars worth of wine, mainly from France and Italy.

Helal told KTLA he released the video in the hopes that the thieves will be caught before hitting another liquor store.
