No one was in the Ohio school classroom when the car came through, police said.
HAMILTON, Ohio — A man who went to pick up his grandchildren from school Thursday accidentally got his foot stuck between the pedals of his vehicle, causing it to accelerate and crash through the wall of the school.
Although the car caused “heavy structural damage” to Ross Intermediate School in Butler County, Ohio, there were no children in the room in which the car crashed and no injuries were reported,Students and staff were evacuated from the building after the crash, which occurred at about 3 p.m.
. “We shut off power, gas, electric, all that good stuff. We followed our safety protocol and everybody is safe.”
