3-and-a-half-year-old Arty has been without his stuffed
CLEVELAND, Ohio - Three-and-a-half-year-old Arty has been without his stuffed monkey since January and now, strangers are stepping in to help. Sharon Troike, the boy’s grandmother, said Arty and his stuffed monkey, simply called “Monkey”, were inseparable.
Troike said Monkey was last seen in January at an Enterprise location inside Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. This was on January 28th. She told 19 News she filed what she described as a missing monkey report, and Enterprise staff reviewed security footage to try and track the toy down. “She said she saw Arty walk in with Monkey in his arm, and then he went out of camera shot, and when he walked back, Monkey was gone,” Troike said.“We see that someone came by and picked up Monkey off the floor, but we can’t identify them as an Enterprise customer,” Troike said.Her plea reached thousands of people online, drawing messages of encouragement and offers of assistance. “She said she found something similar, and she bought it with her own money and she’s going to mail it to me — it was just amazing,” Troike said.Troike said she has not given up hope that Monkey will be found but if he isn’t she knows he’s living a good life. “I’m not saying Monkey is gone.
