A Grand Prairie ISD teacher resigned following his arrest last week on charges he had an inappropriate relationship with a student, according to the school district.
Former South Grand Prairie High School teacher Cody Bush was originally placed on leave March 2, after the district received information about his alleged conduct. Bush was arrested last Thursday following a law enforcement investigation. He resigned from his position after his arrest. A Grand Prairie police spokesman confirmed Bush’s arrest but did not detail what charges he could be facing.
Grand Prairie ISD Superintendent Linda Ellis said in a message to parents the district has “no tolerance for any type of inappropriate communication or contact between a teacher and a student.” “We will continue to partner with the Grand Prairie Police Department to ensure our students’ safety,” Ellis said..
