Pengerusi GPS Abang Johari Tun Openg berkata penyertaan GPS dalam Kabinet adalah berdasarkan formula PN+GPS.

Abang Johari yang juga presiden Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu dan ketua menteri Sarawak berkata, keputusan itu dibuat semasa perbincangan dengan Muhyiddin beberapa hari lepas. Penyertaan GPS dalam Kabinet katanya, akan membantu Sarawak menyuarakan perkara ini melalui saluran rasmi.
