Govt urged to ban sale of alcohol after 10pm in 24-hour premises
The government has been urged to block alcohol sales after 10pm in retail 24-hour premises. – EPA, January 7, 2023.
He said drinking alcohol late at night would usually lead to excessive consumption, increasing the risk of incidents such as road accidents, fights as well as crime. Ramesh, who is also president of civil society group Pertubuhan Minda dan Sosial Prihatin, said this measure will have a better long-term effect on community and families as the people will be protected from the dangers of the increasingly concerning issue of alcohol influence.
