THE Anti-Terrorism Council (ATC) has tagged suspended Negros Oriental Rep. Arnolfo Teves Jr. and his armed group as terrorists.
According to the ATC, this comes after a thorough investigation into the activities of the 'Teves Terrorist Group,' which has been allegedly involved in various violent incidents that have caused harm to the residents of Negros Oriental.'The decision to designate Cong[ressman] Teves and his armed group as terrorists was made based on compelling evidence and factual incidents,' the ATC said in a press statement issued on Tuesday.
According to the Council, investigations undertaken by law enforcement agencies have uncovered 'a well-defined organizational structure within the Teves Terrorist Group, with Rep. Teves identified as the leader and mastermind.'Other key members, such as Pryde Henry Teves and Nigel Electona, have been found to provide material support, the ATC said.
