Govt doesn’t censor, classify internet content, says Fahmi
Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil says the government does not censor app use in Malaysia, but can block ones that violate legal provisions. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, February 23, 2023.
He said at present, the government does not issue licences to social media platform providers, including instant messaging apps such as WhatsApp, WeChat and MiChat.
