Govt devising strategy to tackle cost of living issues
Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli says the government is looking into long-term measures to enable food supply guarantees to meet demand and help control price hikes. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Seth Akmal, January 25, 2023.
“Long-term measures are also being looked into to enable food supply guarantees to meet demand and help control price hikes,” he said in a press conference in conjunction with the release of the December 2022 Consumer Price Index data in Putrajaya today. He said the Economy Ministry has also discussed with several GLCs and is awaiting their proposals and feasibility studies related to high-impact investments in the food sector.
