PETALING JAYA: It's business as usual for the government, even though the appointment of all Cabinet Ministers was revoked on Monday (Feb 24).

Chief Secretary to the Government Datuk Seri Zuki Ali said in a Facebook post on Tuesday that he had a meeting with all the Chief Secretaries of the various ministries.

This he said was to continue services as usual for the planning and implementation of the existing policies for the people and the nation. The Pakatan Harapan government collapsed on Monday when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad submitted his resignation as Prime Minister to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah.

The Chief Secretary to the government issued a statement on Monday night, saying that the King had accepted Dr Mahathir’s resignation. This also meant that all administorial positions, including that of the deputy prime minister, ministers, deputy ministers and political secretaries were terminated.
