“All of the things that we all see in our own lives, schools are dealing with that, too,” said Brown, a former Alamo Heights ISD superintendent. “But they're doing it without increased resources from the state.” In East Texas, Angelina County Judge Keith Wright, a Republican, said he was waiting to see legislation that would codify Abbott’s idea.
