Chicago is on the hunt for the city’s official Christmas tree, have you found it?
Think you've got the winner? For a tree to be considered, it needs to meet the following criteria:— Preference given to Norway spruce or other fir tree . Pine trees are ineligible, due to lack of sturdiness.. In addition to the owner name, address, phone and email, nominations should include a brief description of what makes the tree special. Attach at least two photos, one of which should be a close-up image and the other a wide shot of the tree's full height.
The selected tree will serve as the centerpiece of Chicago's official holiday celebrations in Millennium Park, beginning with the tree lighting ceremony on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. The tree will remain illuminated through Jan. 8. came from the Logan Square neighborhood. The 51-foot blue spruce was donated by Noemi and Mario Benavides.
